Any class that fits your schedule can be your Studio Physique Intro Class. Everyone works at their own pace. Highly skilled trainers give detailed instruction and assist every class participant with form and alignment. Trainers also offer modifications for people concerned about chronic pain or injuries. Exercises are displayed on video monitors which helps class participants check alignment and learn the names of the moves. First-timers often train alongside members who have taken more than 200 classes and everyone experiences an effective workout.
If you are recovering from injuries or have physical limitations, we recommend a Private Lagree Fitness session or a series of sessions prior to joining a group class. Working privately with a Studio Physique Trainer gives you extra attention to find the best modifications, ideal alignment and effective form for every exercise. Many SP Members interested in fine-tuning their Lagree Fitness training also opt for Private Sessions to enhance their experience and optimize individualized results.
Grip socks are required on the Megaformers. Studio Physique offers a variety of grip socks for sale. Intro Class participants will receive $5 off a pair of socks their first class. Participants in the Cycle-Lagree Hybrid classes wear tennis, running or cycling shoes on the bikes the first half of class, then switch to grip socks for the Lagree Fitness portion of the workout on the Megaformers. Comfortable, form-fitting workout clothes are recommended that allow bending and a full range of motion for arms, legs, back and stomach. Towels and water are recommended but not required. Water bottles and water are sold at Studio Physique. Oh, and bring that great attitude and the willingness to sweat and shake and work hard and be ready to have FUN!
Eating a light meal or snack 30 minutes to an hour before you workout at Studio Physique is recommended. Exercising on an empty stomach or while fasting can result in nausea or dizziness. Eating a well-balanced, nutritious meal or high protein snack after your workout is also recommended for optimal muscle recovery. Staying well-hydrated before, during and after your workout is encouraged as well.
Please plan to check into Studio Physique 15 minutes prior to the start of your Intro Class. Your first visit to SP, trainers go through a Megaformer orientation. Trainers will assist with cycle set-up for the Hybrid classes. Please plan to continue to arrive 5 minutes prior to the start of classes to ensure proper equipment set-up and access to the facility.
3 Lagree Fitness classes/week are recommended at Studio Physique for the best results. Many SP Members do take 4, 5 even 6 or 7 classes/week. They love the low impact workout and feel energized after classes. We encourage everyone to listen to their bodies and factor in recovery time to build strong, lean muscle.
The best value for the money is the Studio Physique Unlimited Membership. If you plan to take 2 classes a week or more, go with the Unlimited Monthly Membership. If you will be taking 1 class each week, the $99/Month Membership is a great option for 5 classes/month. Should you go over the 5 classes, you’re still locked in at $19.80/class, a significant savings off the $29 Single Class rate. If you’re someone who travels often, the various Class Packages might be your best option. Studio Physique also offers 1 Week and 2 Week Unlimited Memberships ideal for people visiting the St. Petersburg or Tampa Bay area.
