Trainer Spotlight; Where we interview our amazing Lagree Fitness trainers about fitness, life and everything in-between.
This week we have a question and answer session with Rachel.. our fun lovin’, mega babe!
A little over a year- I used to come with class pass and then I fell in love and bought a full membership. After a few months I became a trainer and have loved teaching ever since.
Flamingo or Spider Kicks. Flamingo not only because of the name, but because you work your entire body and it’s not often added to routine, so when I get to do it I get excited. I hate the name Spider Kicks because I hate spiders, but I absolutely love the exercise. You get a good stretch and resistance at the same time and also get to really refocus.
All the new pop! I try to find songs with good beats to make you want to dance during class. I’m constantly looking for new songs to add to my routines.
This is such a hard question because there’s so many cool super powers. I would want to be able to talk to animals. I love my dog so much and if I could talk to him, it would be the coolest thing ever.
I am an enterprise account manager at Cisco Sytems, I host Total Rach Move Podcast (launching this week), my husband and I are huge beach people and often spend our days there when we get time off from work and travel.
The podcast launches this week! Yay! It is a women’s podcast where different experts come on to talk about different subjects. I have recorded some really cool episodes so far. The youngest woman ever to complete the 5 world major marathons talks about how you can start running a marathon. A former miss USA contestant talks how she got there and what it’s really like. A world traveler talks best places to visit and experiences they have had. There are so many amazing episodes!
Well I love mother kombucha as a drink. It gives me so much energy and tastes amazing. For an actual meal I love anything packed with protein. I try to eat healthy meals during the week even though I can get super busy. During the week I usually eat a “Freshly meal” which gets delivered weekly so it’s easy. On the weekends I love going to Brass Monkey or Basil Leaf (two of my favorite spots on saint Pete beach)
Music and motivational check ins during the workout. If the music isn’t loud and exciting, the class won’t be. First I make sure I have great music, then make sure to ask my class to set an intention and push harder than they did their last class. I always end a class in a plank and make the class hold it together. It’s important they end class stronger than they began.
My husband, my dog, and margaritas – because if I’m stranded I might as well enjoy the three things I love most
